I joined Ketner Group in May 2023 as the summer intern, and I am very excited to stick around as an account coordinator. I get to use my love for writing every day in support of our clients, sharing and telling their stories across various media opportunities.

Originally from the Houston, Texas area, I graduated from The University of Texas with a journalism degree. During my time on the Forty Acres, I spent three years covering the Texas Longhorns for The Daily Texan, and I got involved in public relations my senior year. In my free time, I love catching up on the latest news, watching whatever sport is on TV, playing tennis or thinking about where I want to travel next.

After working with Ketner Group as the spring 2023 intern, I have officially joined our Austin office full time. On behalf of our clients, I draft meaningful content and develop relationships with our retail tech media contacts.

I grew up in the Dallas suburbs (Plano, to be exact) with my parents and two older siblings. Upon graduating high school, I moved to Austin and studied public relations at the University of Texas. I haven’t looked back since. I enjoyed holding multiple PR and media-related roles in student organizations and completing internships that supplemented what I was learning in my classes.

In my free time, I love to write, sing, tell bad jokes and try the latest TikTok-viral local restaurants.

My five months as an intern in 2017 is a testament to how much I love working with the Ketner Group team: I joined full-time! After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in public relations, I’m now an account supervisor, where my love of writing and research have combined as we tell our client’s stories.

When I’m not behind a computer screen, I can be found visiting family in San Antonio, obsessing over music or planning my next travel adventure.

Ketner Group has been my home away from home since 2002, and it is truly a special place. As president and CEO of the agency (and resident Texas Tech Red Raider), I work side-by-side with amazing team members that inspire me every day. I like to think of the KG team as our clients’ “behind-the-scenes powerhouses” helping our clients get the brand recognition they deserve!

Outside of the office, my husband and I stay busy with our two teenage children, Madeline and Nolan, who make us so proud! When I’m not doing the PR thing, I am on the board for our local PTSA and stay quite busy volunteering with the Cedar Park High School band boosters. My happy place is in Port Aransas, with my family, in a beach chair with a cold one in my hand!

I founded Ketner Group 30+ years ago, and today I’m proud that we’ve become the go-to PR agency for retail technology companies. I recently transitioned my role to founder and senior advisor, focusing on client success, strategy and business development. I’m thrilled to see how Ketner Group continues to thrive as Catherine Seeds assumes the role of president and CEO, supported by the most talented leadership team and group of PR professionals in retail tech. I still love what I do, and I’ll be part of Ketner Group for many years to come.

Outside the office, my wife and I spend as much time as possible with family and friends, and we enjoy traveling and being active in our church. I’m an avid reader and have strong opinions about Mexican food, British procedurals, grammar and the greatest guitar players of all time.
